WELCOME TO CNY Event Ranch CAMP!
- Children must be 5-11 years old to attend Dapples Camp.
- Children must be 9-16 years old to attend Secretariat Camp.
- Placement in camp levels is determined by CNY Event Ranch trainers. A 1/2-hour evaluation lesson is required for all new campers and returning campers who would like to advance. Please contact the office to schedule. Regular lesson rates apply.
- Payments for Camp and Extended Day are non-refundable and non-transferable. Absences cannot be made up or credited for other services.
- Late Registration: Registration received less than 48 hours before the start of a camp week will incur a $50.00 Late Registration fee.

Dapples is our beginner camp level, and riders must be at 5 years old to participate. Campers don’t need any prior riding experience, and our goal is for all riders to begin to learn to ride independently through practice, strengthening muscles, and proper technique. Along with riding, Dapples Campers will learn grooming and horse care skills alongside counselors and fellow campers. They’ll participate in mounted and unmounted games and activities throughout the day that make learning to ride fun!

Secretariat is designed for riders with more experience. Campers work toward mastering the canter and are introduced to jumping, along with more detailed horse care and management. The camp day will focus on fine-tuning riding techniques, strengthening the body with skill-building lessons, and unmounted games and activities that add fun to all the hard work!
CAMP HALF LEASES
- Our camp riding half lease allows campers to ride the same horse in regular camp every day for a fraction of the cost of a full lease.
- The leased horse is available for Camp riding plus one 45-minute Saturday practice ride or a ½ hour or 1 hour lesson. Details are in our Camp Lease Guidelines.
- Five Days per week, Weeks 1-5 $500.00 per week
JUNIOR CAMP COUNSELORS
- We look for a few students to attend all 5 weeks of camp. These students will have the opportunity to be camp counselors.
- We expect a certain level of maturity, responsibility, people skills, flexibility and helpfulness.
Cost: $250.00 per week is needed to be a camp counselor. Student housing also available.
Schedule: Monday's - Friday's - off on weekends. They arrive every day at 7:30am and stay until 4:00 pm.
If your child would like to be a camp counselor, they will have to fill out the application below and wait to hear back for approval.
Camp counselors are expected to help prepare for lessons and activities during the day. counselors will be able to continue lessons & contributing to group activities to continue their progress as a rider and grow as a person during the weeks.
Junior Counselor Responsibilities:
- Assist campers with daily horse chores as needed (stalls, feedings, turn out etc.)
- Work closely with team members and camp leadership to ensure safety of all campers.
- Work closely with team members and camp leadership during camp activities in and outside the horse related areas.
- Work closely with the camp leadership to communicate all issues, needed requirements etc.
- Good communication with other counselors, CIT's and camp leadership
- Report to the senior counselor and camp leadership as needed.
- Report any and all barn related staff/camper issues to the camp leadership.
- Report any non-barn related staff/camper issues to the camp leadership.
- Assist kids in daily tasks as needed (grooming, tacking, trick riding, vaulting.)
- Ensure that all barn related areas are kept cleanly and presentable at all times.
- Ensure that the camper's area is kept cleanly and presentable at all times.
- Other general tasks of a counselor as needed and as assigned by senior counselor and camp leadership.
What is included in camp:
· 1 riding lessons per day.
· Fun games and activities all day long
· Lunch is provided if paid for that package.
· Learning how to tack and groom their own horse throughout the week.
· A routine will be presented for parents to watch on the Friday at 2pm the week of your child’s camp. Any family member is welcome to come and watch the presentation (Other arrangements will be made if parents cannot make the 2pm on Friday)
Only 5 people are welcome to watch the presentation if other arrangements have been made.
